The members of the relatively small CIS staff come to us as half-campers and half pre-counselors. They will be seen around campus dispensing our morning and afternoon snacks, helping out in some Specialty areas, delivering messages, and maybe give a camp tour or two (when they are totally knowledgeable about PCDC). When CISs are not "working" they are "participating" in some of the exciting activities that are usually enjoyed by our oldest campers. They may also participate in an off-campus trip during the summer. A fee of $1,600.00 is charged for those who are selected into the program. This fee will cover the cost of their transportation to and from camp, lunches, trips and staff shirts.
If you are interested in applying, you must be a full thirteen years old on or before the first day of camp. If you are still twelve years old on the first day of camp, you are too young to apply. Interested teenagers must make a complete commitment to be in attendance the full seven-weeks of summer.
Applicants will be selected based on a personal interview with one of our Camp Administrators and by the references that they will supply us with on their written application. We do not give any "preference" to our own past campers, nor do we give preference to Pine Crest students over those who do not attend PC.
